A secure, dignified childhood seems like a distant dream for thousands of children in Liberia, caught up in the vicious cycle of poverty and ignorance. Every child has a basic human right to education, yet Liberia lags significantly behind most other African countries in nearly all education statistics

Alarmingly, it has one of the world’s highest levels of out-of-school children. A UNICEF report in 2022 shows that about 66% of school-going-age children in Liberia are currently out of school. It is a known fact that children who receive early learning through pre-primary education have a foundation that sets them up for greater academic achievements and a lifetime of gains. At present, only 35 percent of Liberian children aged 3-5 years have access to early learning opportunities and pre-school education (UNICEF, 2022, Liberia).

The program targets kids between the ages of 8-15 years old.
